Amanda Sluggett
Amanda joined the UK SPINE team at Oxford in October 2018 and is responsible for managing and negotiating a portfolio of research related contracts in order to facilitate clinical and pre-clinical projects across the SPINE. This includes drafting and scrutinising agreements to ensure they are in line with the UK SPINE aims and objectives as well as supporting the KE Team in identifying possible contractual roadblocks during the development of the UK SPINE programme.
After completing her undergraduate in Psychology in 2012, Amanda gained several years’ experience negotiating clinical research agreements with industry, academia and other charitable organisations on behalf of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She then took up the role of Innovation Manager at Buckinghamshire NHS Trust, responsible for the management and exploitation of NHS Intellectual Property, and providing support to entrepreneurial NHS staff seeking to develop and implement innovative technologies and processes in the healthcare sector.
