Medicines Discovery Catapult

The Medicines Discovery Catapult (MDC) is a government-funded, not-for-profit organisation involved in reshaping the UK’s medicines discovery industry. Part of a network of Catapults established by Innovate UK MDC are an independent organisation that industrialises and drives the adoption of new tools and technologies for the sector. Its not-for-profit status enables it to take the risks that are needed to pioneer the next generation of approaches and technologies on behalf of the medicines discovery industry.

The team at the MDC has decades of experience across large pharma, academia, leading technology providers, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), charities and start-ups. They have capabilities in a broad range of areas from cell model analysis and validation, target pathway and engagement and drug delivery and biodistribution to biomarkers and technology innovation. MDC provide assistance with projects from problem exploration to solution creation and experimental delivery.
